2013 Pyramid Snowcap Party Recap
Pyramid Brewery’s Snowcap Party 2013
For the last 16 years, Pyramid Brewery in Seattle has hosted a big concert in homage to their winter ale, Snowcap. I’ve been hired to shoot this awesome event the last few years and was pretty stoked to find out that the headliner this year was going to be Capital Cities. They’ve got a really cool electronic set mixed with pop and some jazzy horns to round out their unique sound. The opening act Leagues, were really good with a mellow sound that wasn’t too flashy or in your face, but created a cool vibe to set the mood for the night. Pyramid does it right with a few fun entertainment features such as an ice sculpture with a tube through it to drink beer as well as a fun photo booth with lots of fun props that people loved. Pyramid donates proceeds to the Surfrider Foundation which is great. They also have lots of booths from great local companies such as Snowboard Connection, Evo, Kind Bars, and local mountains such as Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, and Mission Ridge.
Legendary Northwest pro snowboarder Peter Line even made a guest appearance and donated an autographed snowboard to help raise funds.
